I’ve been very busy lately. The good news is that I have tons of painting to upload. But at the moment writing is not my first priority. However, I read weblogs of web development celebrities almost on a daily basis.

Alcohol for learning Swedish
Yesterday we realized that alcohol consumption makes one talk Swedish better. So maybe they should give free alcohol at SFI. According to one of my colleagues SFI[1] should stand for “Spirit For Invandrare”[2].

Smart ways not to use the brain
Whenever someone asks a question, ask the same thing from them after answering.
When someone gives you a compliment or greets you reply with “the same to you”.
If you need to make a choice, look for someone that you trust and follow their choices.
These may save some brain cells but considering that the thoughts to brain are like exercise to muscles, this behavior leads to creating a couch potato inside the head.

Line and dot
The route for bus or train is usually called “line” or something equivalent in most languages. It’s probably because those vehicles don’t usually go outside this route. The question is: if the route is called line, then why the station is not called “point”?

100% positive thinking
The universe is too complicated and our mind is too weak to know the entire truth. So now that we are condemned to know part of the truth, why not take the good part that will lead to a more progressive lifestyle and happier mentality? I am 100% for positive thinking.

Are Americans really stupid?
I hear it a lot to an extent that it is bothering me even though I’m not American. So I gave it a little bit of thought and concluded:
- America is the lang of opportunities and it’s rewarding to those who are ambitious and do their best. A side product of such system is the starved people who don’t have a good education or are simply too busy earning money that they don’t study about other things so much. Compared to America, Sweden is a homogeneous country where people have to think about each other as equal. Well, every American doesn’t have to know everything (they are humans), and no stupid person doesn’t represent an entire country. The technological advancement, and the dependence of the world on American economy and the abundance of innovations and art coming from that single country, can prove that Americans are not stupid if not smarter!
- I hear it a lot all around Europe that Americans are stupid and to me it only means jealousy. Now probably Europe would invent Electricity and send man to the moon if America didn’t exist, but it’s not clear how many centuries later! I’m not saying Europe is behind America, I’m just saying if someone condemns someone else, they should have something better. For the sake of argument, I am not condemning Europe either.
